Brushed Aluminum Composite

This brushed aluminum composite board is made with two .008" aluminum faces, one with a brushed aluminum finish and the other solid white, with a solid black polyethylene core and comes in 3mm overall thicknesses. A double sided version with brushed aluminum faces on both sides is available for special order. 

It is direct printed with UV inks so the brushed aluminum finish shows through the print giving it a metallic look that's popular for art, photo and decor prints, as well as general signage and POP displays. White ink options are available that allow for underprinting the image in areas to block the metallic finish from showing through where it's not wanted. Available in 48” x 96” sheets.

Indoor longevity of 5-25 years, outdoor longevity of 6 months to 2 years.

Favorite Features

The brushed aluminum finish is the only reason to use this material, and creates a stunning effect that is popular for photography and artwork, and for general POP and advertising displays. It's eco-friendly and scratch and dent resistant.

Drawbacks

Because the aluminum finish is darker than a solid white surface, it will make the resulting print appear metallic, but darker than if printed on white. Adjusting the image to be lighter can help compensate for that and white ink options can be selected to print under the image to block the metallic look from showing where needed.
