Clear Polyester Film

This 7 mil clear polyester film is idea for a range of applications including partially transparent banners, translucent hanging displays and backlit applications. The film can be printed normally or with a full or partial white under print, or even a three layer print with the image in 2 layers and white in between, which is ideal for banners that will be viewed from both sides. Available in widths up to 60".

Indoor longevity of 5-20 years.

Favorite Features

The fact that it's clear makes specialty banners possible. This is the material we use for our dimensional banner stand graphics where a silhouette of a person can be printed with white underprint leaving the remaining banner clear. This gives the impression that the image is floating.

Drawbacks

The clear areas of the banner easily show fingerprints and smudges, so it has to be kept clean to avoid spoiling the transparent effect. Polyester films are not very tear resistant once an edge is cut, so it's important to keep from nicking or tearing an edge.
