    Starting At $8.00

This frosted clear 5 mil PET film an is eco-friendly material with a proprietary adhesive technology that sticks securely to glass. It's easily installable either wet or dry, indoors or outdoors to make window graphics for advertising, POP window signage, decals, seasonal window graphics and more. The unique adhesive makes graphics removable, repositionable, reusable and even washable, and while it holds securely, it offers long-term removability without leaving a residue. Unlike static cling, this product will stick in cold weather and won’t shrink or fall off. It can be installed in temperatures as low as 25 degrees Fahrenheit, making it far more versatile than most adhesive window decals, and it has a service temperature from 0 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. It is PVC free, and also free of phthalates, glyco-ether and formaldehyde. Available in widths up to 54"

The frosted clear base material is great as a privacy film, and it makes a white under coat less important for visibility purposes. White can still be used to maximize visibility or for a 3 layer, color-white-color, graphic that has a similar look during both daytime and when illuminated from behind at night.

Approximate longevity of 10 years indoors, 1-2 years outdoors.

    Favorite Features

The adhesive surface sticks securely but allows the graphic to be removed and reapplied, and the adhesive can even be washed off with water if necessary. It stays removable long term without leaving a residue. It's recommended to remove the decal when the temperature is at least 50 degrees F. It can be installed wet or dry, although wet installation can make it easier to prevent bubbles.

    Drawbacks

Designed for flat windows on homes or businesses, it won't conform to compound curves or stick securely enough to be used on the outside of vehicle windows while being driven at higher speeds.

    Best Applications

Promotional or decorative window graphics for business or residential windows. It's great for graphics that need to be easily removed, such as promotional graphics, and since it can be reused, it's also excellent for seasonal graphics or repeating promotions where the graphics can be saved and reused at a later date. Be sure to save the release liner when installing and put it back on the adhesive surface when storing if using it this way.

    INSTALLATION

    Cleaning The Glass

    • Use only mild soap and water to clean the surface. Two drops of dish soap like Dawn or Joy in one gallon of water makes a good cleaning solution.
    • Do not use solvent-based cleansers under any circumstances.
    • The surface must be completely free of grease and dust.
    • Dry surface with lint free cloths or other particle-free material.

    Temperature

    • The application temperature must be between +25˚F and +86˚F. These values relate to the ambient temperature as well as to the temperature on the application surface itself.
    • For best results, acclimatize GlassMate by rolling out flat at the same application temperature for a few hours before beginning the application process.
    • Full tack will be achieved in 24 to 48 hours.

    Method

    1. GlassMate can be applied wet or dry. Small pieces are easily installed dry while larger pieces over 4 square feet can be installed wet to aid in bubble removal and better seal against the application surface.
    2. Peel back approximately 8-12” of the backer, exposing the adhesive (if using wet method wet application surface now). Consider a chalk line or other method to ensure your graphic will be installed and positioned correctly.
    3. Carefully position GlassMate so that it is properly aligned, then press exposed edge in place using light pressure. Do not get the back of the paper liner wet prior to removing.
    4. Using your hand or a soft plastic squeegee, lightly press the film in place.
    5. Working from the top of the graphic to the bottom, continue by peeling away more of the liner and applying light pressure to the film, working from the center of the graphic to the edges. Continue in this manner until the liner is completely removed and the graphic is in place.
    6. Using soft squeegee from center to all edges carefully push out excess air bubbles or water if wet application.
    7. Finally, squeegee the film with firmer pressure from the center and work outward in all directions to the edges.
    8. Be sure to squeegee the edges firmly and observe the wait times.

    REMOVAL

While GlassMate is engineered to remove without residue after long-term use, please consider the following for best results.

    1. Removal is recommended in temperatures between +50°F and +86°F (+10°C and +30°C). This applies to the ambient temperature, as well as the surface temperature.
    2. Lift a corner of the material and pull slowly at an angle of approximately 45° to 75°.
    3. If the adhesive side of GlassMate becomes dirty, it can be rinsed with warm water and the surface lightly brushed by hand to restore adhesion.

NOTE: As with any adhesive-backed product that is reused, the better preserved the adhesive, the more times the material may re-adhered and enjoyed.

I just received my print and it's too dark and the color is wrong.

Clear window graphics are printed by default to allow for illumination through the print, either from the sun in exterior windows or interior lights. In order for the colors to not look washed out in these situations, the colors will look too dark when there is no light through the print. prints are profiled so the color looks correct when the graphic is illuminated, so you need to backlight the graphic for the color to look correct. See the question below for more details on this, but other than Day/Night backlit graphics, colors will always look too dark when the graphic isn't llluminated with a standard amount of lighting and often some colors will shift as well. If the graphics are printed so they look correct without lighting, they will look washed out when lit. Choose the Day/Night Backlit Graphic for displays that look good whether or not they are illuminated.
